Yuva
Yuva was a 2004 movie directed by Mani Ratnam and it was Mani Ratnam’s second Bollywood movie after Dil se in 1998. It had an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberai, Esha Deol, Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor. The story revolved about three characters from different strata of society whose life get interconnected. Abhishek Bachchan played the role of a local goon Lallan Singh and he totally nailed it with his performance. He received his first Filmfare award for best actor for Yuva.
Sarkar
Sarkar directed by Ramgopal Varma was inspired from the Hollywood classic movie The Godfather and the life of Shiv Sena supremo BalThackrey. It had real father-son duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan along with Kay Kay Menon, Supriya Pathak, Katrina Kaif and Tanisha Mukherjee in pivatol roles. Abhishek played the role of Shankar, second son of Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan) who unwillingly had to take responsibility of his father’s work. Abhishek Bachchan shined in the movie even when the lead role was of Amitabh Bachchan.
Dostana
Dostana starring Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham was a rom-com where they had to pretend to be gays to get a flat on rent to live. The movie featured Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. It was the first time when Abhishek Bachchan got a chance to showcase his comic side and he was very good in the comedy scenes proving his versatility in every genre.
Guru
Another movie of Mani Ratnam where Abhishek Bachchan played the character of a business man that was inspired by the founder of Reliance Industries, Dhirubhai Ambani. Abhishek Bachchan as Guru did justice to the role and it is probably the best performance of Abhishek Bachchan. From playing a young man in his 20s to a veteran businessman in 50s, Abhishek Bachchan gave a splendid performance in the movie.
Manmarziya
Manmarziya marked the comeback of Abhishek Bachchan after a hiatus of more than two years. The movie was directed by Anurag Kashyap and it also featured Vicky Kaushal and Tapsee Pannu. Abhishek Bachchan as an intense and introvert Robbie who is stuck in a bad marriage gave a commendable performance in the movie. He made a very good comeback with this movie and he received lots of applaud for his performance.
Bob Biswas
Bob Biswaswase a crime thriller movie where Abhihsek Bachchan played the role of Bob Biswas, a character from the superhit movie Kahani and it was a spin-off movie that told the backstory of Bob Biswas. Abhishek Bachchan changed his entire look for the movie and nailed the character of Bob Biswas with his performance.
