The advent of OTT platforms has revolutionized the way audiences used to watch shows and movies. Its popularity got skyrocketed during the first lockdown and attracted a large number of people to subscribe to them. Here is the list of seven upcoming Hindi Web Series we are super excited about.
Bull
When it was announced that Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is making his OTT debut soon, it made everyone excited. The show is tentatively titled ‘Bull’ and what makes this series more interesting than it will be helmed by the director duo Raj & DK who made India’s first zombie comedy movie Go Goa Gone and also directed the web series The Family Man which is one of the most successful web-series. Bull will also star Tamil actor Vijay Setupathi making it one of the most awaited web series which is going to be telecasted on Amazon Prime.
Fallen
Sonakshi Sinha is debuting with the web series titled Fallen on Amazon Prime. Sonakshi Sinha gave many hits like Rowdy Rathore, Sons of Sardar, and the Dabanng franchise but in the last couple of years her movies were not doing good but nowshe is making a comeback with an OTT show named Fallen where she plays a female cop. It will also feature Vijay Verma who played the role of Moin in Gully Boy and Sohum Shah of Tumbbad fame. It’s directed by Reema Kagti who made movies like Talaash and Gold.
Hush Hush
Amazon Prime Video announced a new show on their platform titled Hush Hush that is touted to be a crime drama Hush Hush has an ensemble cast of female actresses like Juhi Chawla KarishmaTanna, Sahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra, Soha Ali Khan, and Ayesha Jhulka. It’s going to be a female-centric movie and even the director and writer of the show are females.
The End
More than a year ago, Akshay Kumar in partnership with Amazon Prime announced a web series titled ‘The End’ which is supposedly going to be one of the most expensive web series ever. Set in the future world, its script has been written but the people from Prime Video and Akshay Kumar himself were not satisfied with the script and the script is now being re-written. Once it’s completed and approved, we may know when The End will come on OTT.
Indian Police Force
After making a cop universe in movies with Singham, Simba and Suryavanshi, Rohit Shetty is expanding his cop universe into OTT with Indian Police Force. It’s touted as the most expensive action web-series ever made in India. It starts Siddharth Malhotra in the lead along with Shilpa Shetty and Vikram who all are playing cops in this web series.
Neeyat
Neeyat is an upcoming adventurous crime-thriller featuring Vidya in the lead and the story centers on a murder that happens during a billionaire’s birthday celebrations. This web series has an ensemble cast of Neeraj Kabi, Rahul Bose, Meeta Vashisht, Ram Kapoor, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, and famous You tuber Prajakta Koli.
Tiku Weds Sheru
Tiku Weds Sheru is an upcoming comedy romantic drama produced by Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika Films, and it has Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the main leads. It’s written and directed by Sai Kabir who wanted to cast late Irfan Khan for the charcter Nawazuddin is doing now. Tiku Weds Sheru will premiere at Amazon Prime Video.
