Web Series are the flavour of the town right now and what more do you need if the web series you are watching has such great content that you can’t stop and binge-watch it. With so many OTT platforms mushrooming up, every OTT platform is trying to give something different and fresh to be in the race. Here are a few upcoming web series whose content may make you binge watching them.
- Dahaad
Dahaad is a crime mystery drama created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar and directed by Reema Kagti in collaboration with Ruchika Oberai. With Dahaad, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is making her OTT debut. Along with Sonakshi Sinha, the cast of Dahaad includes talented actors such as Vijay Verma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video and it’s the first Indian web series that premiered at the Berlin International film festival, along with competing for Berlinale Series Award.
- IRL- In Real Love
IRL- In Real Love is a non-fiction web series that will stream on Netflix from 6th April 2023. The show will be hosted by Rannvijay Singha and Gauhar Khan. The format of the series will revolve around two boys and two girls and all four of them will have a chance to date in two ways, one in the traditional way and the other in a modern way. Nothing more is revealed in the trailer but going by the theme it seems like an experiment about how people fall in love more easily.
- Decoupled Season 2
The Netflix show Decoupled featured R. Madhavan and Suvreen Chawla and the story of the series revolves around this couple who are in a loveless marriage and decide to get separated but because of their child they have to stay under the same roof. It’s a modern take on how couples manage their relationships but the show was not a serious drama but more of comedy than a typical emotional drama. Season 2 might stream on Netflix by the year’s end or early 2024.
- NaxalBari Season 2
Naxalbari is a web series on Zee5 that tells us about the Naxal movement in India and its effects on the country and normal citizens of the country. Rajiv Khandelwal is in the lead and plays an Indian agent who is on a mission to suppress the rise of the Naxal movement in a place called Gadchiroli which happens to be his own village. The director of the show is Partho Mitra. Zee5 has not yet disclosed when season 2 will release but people are waiting for season two because season one ended with a suspense that will be unveiled in season 2.
- Show Stopper
Show Stopper is an upcoming web series that will premiere on Zee5. The main cast of the web series includes Shweta Tiwari, Sourabh Raj Jain, Kanwaljit Singh, Rohit Roy, and Zeenat Aman who is making her OTT debut with this series. The show according to a few reports will be about lingerie fitting.
