The advent of OTT, made it possible to steam several shows and series that are released regularly. Furthermore, many movies are also getting spinoffs, sequels, prequels, and reboots. Even tough, there are many fan favorite movies which deserves a sequel as audience are very much interested to see what happens after the events of first movie.
Here are a few movies from Hollywood that deserves sequels.
Man Of Steel
Man of Steel was the first movie in DCEU (DC Cinematic Universe) directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Superman, Man Of Steel was the most awaited movie when it released in 2013. Despite being DC’s most famous face, this Superman movie didn’t get a sequel which made fans very unsatisfied. Fans are still hopeful that Man Of Steel 2 will see light if the day sometime soon.
Edge Of Tomorrow
It featured Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, Edge Of Tomorrow was released in 2014 and did pretty well at the box office. It received a lot of positive critical reception. Besides, fans also loved the movie and waiting for a sequel to be made. It was a sci-fi movie where some invincible alien race attacks the earth and Maj. William Cage (Tom Cruise), tries to save the planet but gets stuck in a time loop. A sequel of this movie will be quite intereting to see how the story progresses.
Inception
The Christopher Nolan directed science fiction action film made lots of buzz along with money when it was released in 2010. Featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Cillian Murphy and Elliot page, Inception’s distinctive plot was the reason for its success. But, the movies never got a sequel. If Inception 2 will make in future, which presently seems not probable, the story of the sequel can start where Inception left off.
Interstellar
Interstellar was an epic sci-fi movie co-written, directed and produced by Christopher Nolan. Interstellar concluded with a filling and emotive scene with Matthew McConaughey’s Joseph Cooper lastly reunites with his daughter Murphy (Jessica Chastain/Ellen Burstyn). Nevertheless, many of Nolan’s fans are looking forward for a sequel but Nolan rarely makes sequels barring the Dark Knight Trilogy. Still, fans are hoping that oone day they may see the sequel.
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
This Steven Spielberg movie is one of the most iconic movies ever came from Hollywood. Starring Henry Thomas and Drew Barrymore, E.T is an epic classic movie that shows the friendshio between a boy and a good hearted cute alien. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was the highest-grossing film of all time till next eleven years. The film was nominated for nine Academy Awards and ended up winning four. Fans from across the world want to have a sequel to it but it seems unlikely for a movie that is almost 40 years old
