Movies are all about suspension of disbelief and take the audiences on a journey full of drama and other things to make people forget their real-life problems, even if for three hours. With every movie, the character an actor is playing changes, and many times actors have to physically and facially change their looks to suit the characters they are playing and many actors are pro in it. We have curated a list of five Bollywood actors who have mastered the art of disguise.
Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh is known for getting into the skin of the character he is playing on the screen. For his debut movie Band Baja Baarat that was set in Delhi and he played a DU student, he literally stayed in a DU hostel and lived the life DU student for weeks without having anyone know that he is doing research for his character in the movie. For Bajirao-Mastani he shaved his hair and learned the Marathi dialect. While portraying Kapil Dev in the movie 83, he stayed with Kapil Dev for months to learn his body language and how he talks and walks. When the first of 83 came, people literally got confused between real and reel Kapil Dev.

Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor is another actor from this generation who is known for completely dedicating himself to the character he is portraying on screen. When he was offered to play Sanjay Dutt in the biopic, everyone was apprehensive about how can he pull off the role of Sanjay Dutt but with prosthetics and learning the body language of Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir nailed the character as he completely disguised himself as Sanjay Dutt.
Hrithik Roshan
The Greek God of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan is famous for disguising himself as the character he is doing in a movie. He surprised everyone with his superb portrayal of a mentally challenged in Koi Mil Gaya. Then in Dhoom 2, he disguised himself in many looks as he was playing the character of a thief. He gained weight for playing the role of a bedridden man in Guzaarish and totally changed his appearance and dialect for playing a Bihari character in Super 30.
Aamir Khan
From playing a farmer during the British Rule in Lagaan to playing the father of two grown-up girls in Dangal, Aamir Khan is the master of disguise in Bollywood who changes his look for every movie he is doing. For Mangal Pandey, he grew his hair and for Ghajini, he completely shaved it off. Aamir Khan is one of the very few stars who separate his real-life persona and the character he is playing on-screen completely.
Kamal Haasan
Kamal Haasan is certainly one of the best actors in India and he is also known for completely changing his looks for movies. Around thirty years ago he played the role of a dwarf in Apu Raja so convincingly without any modern-day technology. The actor went ahead and played ten different characters in the movie Dasavathaaram, a record till now, and in the iconic Chachi 420 where he disguised himself in a woman’s get-up and played the role with flawlessness.
