But this year started with a bang with the SRK starrer Pathaan. In this list, we have created a list of the five most awaited movies of 2023.
- Gadar 2
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema despite being released with another superhit movie Lagaan. The star cast of Gadar 2 is the same as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Featuring Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma. Along with them Gadar 2 also features Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, and Manish Wadhwa who featured in Tiger Zinda Hain as the main villain, Rohit Choudhary, and Arjun Dwivedi. Gadar 2 is releasing on Independence day 2023 and because of the brand value it will get a great opening and if the content is good then nothing can stop it from becoming a blockbuster.
- Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani
Directed by Karan Johar and starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is one of the most-awaited movies of 2023. The reason behind this is that Karan Johar directed his last movie in the year 2016 and after 7 years he is directing this movie and the other reason is Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s last movie Gully Boy was a hit movie. The movie also features veterans like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
- Dream Girl 2
Dream Girl starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Abhishek Banerjee and Dream Girl 2 is a spiritual sequel to Dream Girl and stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Karamveer Singh /Pooja, Ananya Pandey, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi, Asrani, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Bannerjee.
- Bade Miyan Chote Miyan
Directed and written by Ali Abbas Zafar of Tiger Zinda Hain fame, this action-packed movie stars two biggest action stars of the country Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff along with Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran as the main antagonist. The movie is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Jacky Bhagnani of Pooja Films. The female leads of the movie are Sonakshi Sinha, Janhvi Kapoor, and Manushi Chhillar. Releasing this Christmas Bade Miyan, Chote Miyan will be nothing less than an action and thriller-packed movie.
- Ganapath Part 1
Directed by Vikas Behl of Queen and Super 30 film fame, the movie has a huge star cast consisting of Tiger Shroff with Amitabh Bachchan, and Kriti Sanon. The film is India’s first dystopian and futuristic action thriller film and is the first part of the planned duology. Made on a huge budget of around 300 crores making it is one of the most expensive movies ever made in Bollywood and it’s releasing on 20 October 2023. The shooting of the movie has been done in the United Kingdom, Mumbai, and Ladakh.
