The release of all major movies is almost booked for the year 2023 since there are a few movies that will release next year and among them, some movies looked very interesting with fresh concepts, interesting premises, and a big star cast. Here we will talk about five movies that may surprise us and for which people are waiting with bated breath.
- Emergency
It does not matter what kind of personality Kangana Ranaut is in real life but there is no denying that she is one of the best actresses we have. Winner of four National Awards, her acting prowess does not need any approval and her upcoming movie Emergency may prove again what she is capable of. Set during the emergency period, Emergency is based on real-life events where Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. Kangana is also producing and directing the movie. Along with Kangana, the movie also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.
- Stree 2
Finally, after a wait of almost five years, Stree 2 is releasing next year. With Stree producer, Dinesh Vijan started the horror universe which consists of other movies including Ruhi and Bhediya. Amar Kaushik who directed the first part and Bhediya will direct Stree 2 also with the same star cast of the first Stree movie that included Rajkumar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi along with Varun Dhawan in a cameo.
- Tehran
Tehran stars John Abraham and Manushi Chillar in lead roles along with Madhurima Tuli, Allon Sylvain, Adam Karst, Kal Sabir, Toby Osmond, etc. and it’s directed by Arun Gopalan who is making his directorial debut with this movie. It’s produced by Sandeep Leyzell, Cyrus Patel, Dinesh Vijan, and Shobhna Yadav. Tehran is a geo-political action thriller movie whose story revolves around the events of the Russia-Ukraine war.
- Jee Le Zara
Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production house Excel Entertainment is famous for making movies about friendship that started with the cult classic Dil Chahta Hain and continued with Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Fukrey series. Jee Le Zara is also a movie about friendship but this time the genders change and it’s an all-female crew with Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Directed by Farhan Akhtar whose last directorial movie was Don 2 is making his comeback with Jee Le Zara which explores and celebrates the friendship between three girls.
- The Crew
The Crew is also a female-centric movie starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. The movie is jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor and directed by Rajesh Krishnan who made his directorial debut with the movie Lootcase for which he received Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director. The Crew is set in the world of commercial aviation and apart from that nothing much is revealed about the movie.
