Radhika Apte is a well-known actress in Bollywood but worked in various languages movies. She is known for her performances in movies like Rakta Charitra I and II, Badlapur, Manjhi:The Mountain Man, Hunterr, Padman, Andhdhun, etc. Her notable works in other language movies are Kabali in Tamil where she shared the screen with superstar Rajnikanth, Lal Bhari in Marathi, Haram in Malayalam etc. She was born on 7 September 1985 at Vellore and brought up in Pune.

She first appeared in the 2005 movie Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi where she had a very small role. Her filmy career as a leading actress started with the National Award-winning Bengali movie Antaheen in 2009 where she starred with Rahul Bose, Aparna Sen, and Sharmila Tagore. She received lots of applause for her acting in movies like Badlapur, the comedy Hunterrr, and the biographical film Manjhi – The Mountain Man. Her leading roles in the 2016 independent films Phobia and Parched earned her further recognition. On the personal front, she is married to London-based musician, Benedict Taylor. She had a low-key wedding in Northern England in September 2012.
She worked in many OTT based shows like the anthology movie Lust Stories for Netflix, the famous web series Sacred Games again for Netflix, and the horror series Ghoul. Along with movies, she is quite active in theatre also and has been a part of various plays, mainly in the Hindi language. She is related to Mohit Takalkar’s theatre troupe Aasakta Kalamanch in her hometown and has performed in many plays like Tu, Purnaviram, Matra Ratra, and Samuel Beckett’s That Time with Rehan Engineer. She has done many short movies also, the most famous being Ahalya directed by Sujoy Ghosh. She was one of the lead roles in Anurag Kashyap’s film on eve teasing, That Day After every day. She has supported many social causes including the Me Too Movement in India. Her Forthcoming movie is Vikram Vedha where she is working with Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan. The movie is a remake of the Tamil movie of the same name and is directed by the husband-wife duo of Pushkar-Gayathri where she plays a lawyer and wife of the character of Vikram played by Saif Ali Khan.
