American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story was released in 2017 and it’s one of the most er*tic and b@ldest series on Amazon Prime. It featured Emmett Skilton and Chelsie Preston Crayford, along with s Matt Whelan played the role of Hugh Hefnerwho founded the famous and b@ld magazine ‘Playboy’. The series casted actors of African American and African British lineage that included Kelvin Taylor. The first season, with ten episodes, was first aired on 7, 2017. The series covers the start of the magazine as well as the following six decades of Hefner’s personal life and profession including his interviews, archival material with some cinematic liberty. Hefner always advocated S*xual freedom, civil rights, and freedom of expression along with creating his own empire.

Masters of S*x
The first episode of the famous American historical drama television series Masters of S*x was telecasted on September 29, 2013. It is partly based on Thomas Maier’s biography Masters of S*x and the show was directed by Michelle Ashford. Masters of S*x featured Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson, and the story covered the period of 1950 to late 1960s. This series was highly praised by critics. Shameless is an American comedy-drama television series developed by John Wells that aired on Showtime from January 9, 2011, to April 11, 2021. It was adopted from Paul Abbott’s British series of the same name and has an ensemble William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum were the main leads. The show is set on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. It’s ninth season streamed on September 9, 2018 and became the longest-running original scripted series in Showtime’s history. The tenth season, was premiered on November 10, 2019. In January 2020, the series was renewed for its eleventh and final season, which was scheduled to premiere in mid-2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic; it instead premiered on December 6, 2020.

Made in Heaven is an Indian web series and it’s produced by Excel Entertainment led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani who gave us classic movies like Dil Chahta Hain, Lakshya, Don series, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Gully Boy etc. It was their first foray into OTT platform long with Mirzapur. Made in Heaven stars Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora, Kalki Koechlin, and Shivani Raghuvanshi. Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti conceived the show and it’s directed by Akhtar, Shrivastava, Nitya Mehra, and Prashant Nair.

Four More Shots Please! tells the story of four girls who are not “perfect” as per the norms of the society. The shows was created by Anu Menon and Nupur Asthana and shows how these four girls live, love, make mistakes, and learn more about themselves through friendship and tequila shots in present-day Mumbai. The series stars Sayani Gupta, Bani J, Kirti Kulhari, and Maanvi Gagroo. It has Milind Soman also in a cameo. The programme has been labelled as a “Desi version of S*x and the City” by the critics and viewers.
Modern Love
Modern Love is an American romantic comedy anthology streaming on Amazon Prime. John Carney created this show and it first streamed on Amazon Prime Video on October 18, 2019. The stories of the show is taken ‘The New York Times’ weekly column of the same name. The length of each episode is 29 to 35 minutes. The show got a second season renewal in October 2019, and it premiered on August 13, 2021. It has Indian versions also and the first version Modern Love: Mumbai aired recently and two more shows titled Modern Love: Chennai and Modern Love: Hyderabad are coming soon.
